yeah, I like that edition too, and the missed proposal scene is probably my favorite.
more than that, I like the beauty that is included in that version. there are so many pictures of nature, gorgeous scenic vistas, and the music that accompanies it is beautiful.
before the missed proposal scene, you definitely get the impression that Lizzie wants to like Darcy, but he keeps being off putting, and in the end all that she can manage is politeness. Which she somehow manages to hold onto during the proposal scene; thank a man for proposing to you and then verbally eviscerate him. *I LOVE IT*
Also the actress playing Mrs. Bennett made the character 10X more bearable than any other version I've seen. Many times she's unbearable, but she pulls it out in little places where it turns out that at heart she really is a woman concerned about her daughter and in love with her husband. You just have to squint to see it.
Bride and Prejudice is a little ridiculous, but fun! I hope you get a chance to watch it. :)
