Thanks for the response. I added a paragraph near the end addressing the magic-users (silly me, I had thought that entire problem through and never bothered to actually write it down). And *I* don't even know what happened to Buffy at the end of this one, but I wanted an Arthurian type exit/disappearance for this story's end, with the idea that she might one day return. The Once and Future Slayer, if you know what I mean.
