I've actually written stuff - you can read it - and the continuation of the May Writing Meme

Okay, lots of things to get through in this post because I've taken time and actually gotten shit done in my real life. Astonishing, I know. Sorry if I haven't been responding to comments/emails in a timely fashion - it's easy for me to get lost in my thoughts lately. So, first things first:

( Remix Reveal, Castiel Comment Fics, and May Writing Meme Days 6-10 )

comments

Fic posts to LJ - Supernatural and Doctor Who/Discworld, also xover_exchange fics

I've been having trouble making cuts and such work here on DW, so this is just a place marker directing my circle members to the two fic posts I just made: the first is my first ever porn fic (and heaven help me, it's Wincest), and the second is a collection of writer's block busting ficlets I wrote for prompters a few weeks back. Then there are my xover_exchange fics, one Torchwood/Firefly and the other Doctor Who/Leverage

The Many Forms of Comfort (Supernatural, NC-17, Sam/Dean)

Four Ficlets for Supernatural, one Doctor Who/Discworld (PG-13, Gen)

Too Good to Be True (Torchwood/Firefly, PG-13, Gen)

The Nick of Time Job (Doctor Who/Leverage, PG-13, Gen)

comments

Meta: Dean Winchester's Road to Lisa's Doorstep (Supernatural)

This is cleaned up and reposted from some anonymous comments I made. I've been working on this theory for awhile now, and this discussion prompted me to finally write the whole damn thing down, if you'd like the context.

Basically, this connects the dots that we got in canon to develop a plausible road map from the Bendy Weekend to the end of 99 Problems, based on the premise that, physically, Lisa has been Dean's dream-girl since he met her, and explores his relationship with her from there on, as well as exploring Dean's love affair with death and his deteriorating regard for his father. His relationships with Mary, Ellen, Jo, and Castiel don't play much into this particular roadmap, though I don't deny their importance in developing his character, it's just this is a bit long already.

comments

By George I Think I've Got It!

I think I finally worked out the scene in the help_pakistan story that I was whinging about last night. And it's from canon no less! Thank heavens: otherwise I was going to have to start asking bookchan about an extension, which I'd have felt lousy about.

Oh, and I got my second choice at the Reverse BB this morning, but I'm actually more excited to see my first choice prompt in the hands of the author who beat me to it than I was about my own plot bunny. And I quite like my second choice (it had been hard to rank them in the first place) as it offers lots of possibilities. If the artist is checking out my journal, feel free to contact me ahead of the reveal so that I can start tossing ideas in your direction.

And then I can start sorting through the Cas/Jack notes I got from fish_echo last night. It's going to be another rebuild (but a necessary one that will make the fic much better.)

comments

Ficlet: Dashed Cunning (SPN)

I'm claiming this comment fic I wrote in spnpermanon because I'd like be a full participant in remix next year and I'm hardly ever inspired to write non-crossovers. It's a silly one-joke Plot.What.Plot? with bonus self!insertion in response to a nonnie who asked for it after I confessed my long held desire to scale Sam Winchester and plant a flag at the summit. Slightly expanded from the original.

Title: Dashed Cunning
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None
Genre: Gen-ish, with aspirations toward het (I can dream, yeah?)
Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, OFC
Word Count: 130
Disclaimer: Sam and Dean and Supernatural belong to Kripke and the CW.
Summary: There's a really short girl at the door and she seems to have a plan.

Dean nodded at the girl and said, "Give us just a second, okay?" He struggled to keep a grin off his face as he partially shut the door and turned to his brother. "Uh, Sammy, there's some midget-chick here for you."

Sam sat up straighter on the bed. "Oh God! What does she want? Help reaching something?" Dean shook his head. "Help carrying something?" Dean shook his head again and Sam ran his hand through his hair, tugging at the strands in desperation. "Tea?" he asked, his voice rising to a squeak, completely at the end of his rope.

Now Dean allowed himself to grin. "I'm thinking she's after something a little different. She's brought a flag."

Sam's face dropped. "Damn," he whimpered while Dean pulled the door back open.

comments
