Because apparently all of my words suck right now, I'll just let They Might Be Giants say it for me:

There's only two songs in me and I just wrote the third
Don't know where I got the inspiration or how I wrote the words
Spent my whole life just digging up my music's shallow grave

But I politely told the ladies
"You'll still have to call me Sir
Because I have to keep my self-respect
I'll never be a star
Since there's just two songs in me
And this is Number Three"

You've hit the rabbit on the nose. Or something like that. (Have I mentioned lately that words have not been my friends? I have like three aborted remix drafts and not nearly enough done on either of my BBs and ACK - but I'll live) =)

Write haiku. Lots of haiku. Write fic in haiku? JJ is perhaps getting a little obsessed with haiku these days--silly April writing challenge.

Why not write fic in soundtracks? Music first, lyrics second, silly writing challenges using lyrics third. Think musically, not linguistically. Don't waste time beating around the bush--chainsaw that sucker down and make a concrete landing pad for passing blue boxes bigger on the inside. TARDIS = haiku?

Let me know if any of this helps, or if I am just throwing things at the wall again that bounce off without losing a whit of energy to friction. Also, answer your phone. :o)

Sorry to worry you - just been dealing with a lot of RL stuff and fighting my writers block - and so I withdrew a bit, but I'm gonna try to come back some soon. **hugs**
