Hands, Part I (100 words)

Thump, thump, thump. He keeps up a regular rhythm. A dainty hand finally sneaks between his forehead and the pipe. “Stop that, you’ll ruin that great big brain and then what will become of me?” whispers Buffy.

The Doctor’s face lights up and he holds the shackles up. “Oh, you’ll be the most gorgeous, brilliant woman in the universe. I’m sure you’d think of something. In the meantime, break these, please.” She grasps the cuffs in either hand and pulls the chains apart, then lifts him to his feet.

He takes her dainty, powerful hand in his, and they run.

Hands, Part II (100 Words)

Buffy loves his manly, hairy hands.

The Doctor’s hands are clever and dexterous. They tinker with machinery; they pull his hair; they caress her body.

The Doctor’s hands are alien. Despite all their uses, they lack calluses, and are ever so soft against her lips. There is a third one in a jar somewhere that he teases Martha’s children with.

Right now the Doctor’s hands are clasped around hers, stroking her palms. Yesterday they exposed a Rutan spy and prevented a coup. The Doctor’s hands have destroyed worlds.

Even knowing this, Buffy doesn’t hesitate to lick his finger and wink.

"Alive Again" (50 words)

“So you’re alive again.”

The Master arches his eyebrows. “Same to you.”

Buffy grins. “Apparently, we’re both just no good at this dead thing.” Her brave words are betrayed by her glance at the Doctor’s unconscious form.

“No worries love, you can give it another go once he wakes up.”
