Brain asplode

So, I've been spending the last few days translating for thesis type purposes, and I'm barely comprehensible in any language.  My muse has announced that she's not returning my phone calls until I finish the first chapter on my thesis at the least.  The weather here in the heart of Texas has been shifting thirty degrees (F) every twelve hours and the dread cedar pollen (mountain juniper if you want to be picky) is out in full force, so I'm deaf and get nauseous every time I ride in a vehicle.  I'm a whole lot of fun to be around right now.

But I did get my birthday presents from my parents today.  Hooray for Paper Moon and Shadow of the Vampire!   If you're not familiar, Shadow of the Vampire is my personal favorite vampire movie and deserves way more recognition.  Also got Tropic Thunder and the Discworld Graphic Novels, which both make me very happy.  So I'm going to curl up with my kitty and watch Paper Moon.  A little Madelein Kahn will do me some good.
