Author's Notes: Sequel of sorts to Impossible Things.  With a "blink and you'll miss it" mini-crossover somewhere in there.  Those of you with sharp eyes will see it.  Also, when it comes to units of measurement, Martha is thoroughly metric, even if the UK wasn't yet.  If anyone sees any other anachronisms or failures in my British-isms, please let me know.  Title is from the Jack Johnson song; if you don't know the 13th Floor Elevators and like psychedelic music at all, I advise you to check them out.

Author's Note: So I saw a piece of fanart by BuffyCharmed over at TtH and got all inspired here. Then she saw the story I wrote and made me some genuinely terrific fanart here and there (my favorite is there).
Summary: John Smith and Martha hide from the Family of Blood at the Farringham School, where Martha meets a new friend from the 21st century.

 

( Chapter Fourteen: Everyone's Life Ends But No One Ever Completes It )

So, birthday party went very well... right up until the point when I realized around 10:30 that the sudden headache I developed around 8  was in fact a migraine.  Packed up the remainder of the chili (not much, people did a real job on it), told people they were free to stay as long as the roomie would put up with them, and headed to bed.  In case you were wondering, in the war between Tylenol PM and NoDoze, the Tylenol PM wins (caffeine is a known palliative for migraines and NoDoze was the only form of it in the house).  I feel quite a bit better now, but I changed my browser settings to display everything as white on black for a bit, stupid photosensitivity.

I was going to finish up Impossible Things today, but I've got a question for you folks, below the cut if you haven't read it yet and don't want to be spoiled.  Also, the question won't make any sense until you've read it anyway.  No rush though, I think I might do some actual homework to fill the time.
